NTV is off again

Once again NTV is totally unwatchable and their chatline advised at 2pm today that this is due to problems with TTnet. It is still off and they cannot give any time when it is likely to be restored. Not good enough - why do we pay to put up with this? The simple answer is that there is no alternative and they have us "over a barrel"

NTV not working - totally unwatchable - contact them daily and get mostly same replies such as we are aware of the problem and it will be fixed soon - thank you for your patience etc - this has been going on for at the very least ten days - no real clue as to what is happening but there seem to be real problems- checked Internet speed and that's fine. NTV just cuts out - need to keep rebooting- terrible service by NTV and no real confidence that it will be fixed any time soon .

Mine was iffy earlier so I made contact online, was told it is a general fault through Turkey. Watched a download instead, a videoclub would work just as well and a lot of the time catchup is fine. You have to remember this is an internet based TV system and as such can suffer internet based issues as happens with BBC Iplayer both here and in the UK. It is a system that will perhaps never be perfect and it is always an idea to have something as back up. Generally I find it the best option for TV here.

We have watched the Voice at 9.00pm and now watching The Musketeers on catch-up and it has been fine.

I have been looking for ages for any good feedback so as I can change from Digiturk. The last few months everything has been repeats or they have put on weird SiFi series But at least it is consistent not relying to the internet. Until I hear anything new I will stick with it. I would be tearing my hair out if I was with NTV. I do feel for those having to put up with it. Its not good enough.

Yesterday was one of the worst days ever with NTV, awful reception all day, I have no hair and its still bad!

After I posted I managed to watch theVoice with only 3 or 4 interruptions and I'd appreciate any internet based systems will be a bit iffy from time to time. We have been with NTV for over 2 years now and for the most part found it very good but this is the worst we have known it especially since the recent system "update"
I also appreciate its good to have other stuff to watch but it's frustrating when you're watching live football or quiz shows and want to hear the answer!
We record on Filmon and managed to catch up with the Musketeers for half of the programme then that too froze .
How do you watch catch up via NTV please?

From the channel page with the half screen on the right and the listings on the left, use the right arrow, you then get a page with dates on the left, if you then use the left arrow you can select a date and then a programme. It is worth noting that if a programme has been bad live there is a good chance it will be bad on catch up as I believe it is recorded then stored "locally". That said replay of this and videoclub are usually good if the original was because they only rely on the MM connection on island whichis normally very solid and reliable. However if you are struggling with live stuff there is usually something you can watch on catch up or one of the videoclub movies.

Catchup works for about a week.

There are over 200 movies in videoclub.

Another thing you can do, and it is by no means perfect, you can look to catch up on you tube though the input from the remote is a bit of a pain.
