Even if it gets locked now I hope it is left available for easy finding on the forum and does not disappear into oblivion . I say this so all other people considering TRNC as their new home can go through the thread & pull out all the useful info that's been kindly placed since day 1.

Forgot to add that I believe the viewing stats on this thread have been 700+ in this last week, I believe, I will stand corrected if I wrong. So that shows there is great interest in viewing it. I know we have got slightly off topic when we started mentioning our horoscope signs the last couple of days. But any new advice on the original topic would still be very welcome

Ye,s maybe this thread has got all used up and there is none left on the reel, and it is time to reel in any more answwers. Trouble is I think everyone is loathe to close it. But, I think that this has come full circle, and Anna has received all her advice and answers, and there is but one thing left for her to do - get here to find final answers to al her questions in situ.
With the situation inEgypt, it is definittely time to try tomake a decision, which can be made only, (I am sure we all feel) by her being here.

so I reckon it is now up to the boss to decide whether to lock this and file it in some archive as the longest thread to date and see if another takesoff as well before the end of the year.

Hi Philoz, yes was aware of the FCO bulletin and had also read the articles on BBC News & Sky News from the 2/1//12. But thanks so very much for bringing it to my attention in case I had not been aware. It will never recover here for many a year I think because Sinai was renowned for lawlessness before, when the old president, (no names mentioned for certain reasons) was in charge. But now that the new guy is struggling to get to grips with larger issues to deal with the region is deteriorating and the local tribes are taking full advantage. If you knew of half of the local problems and the escapades that occur here it would make your hair curl.

Rose, yes agree and it is up to the boss. But really hope it's available someplace for viewing when it does get closed - so much useful advice contained in the topic for all potential new people considering TRNC

Thank goodness that somehow the authorities intercepted these total idiots before they could implement their plans, but the problem overall still remains. I feel I am walking around with a huge target on my back - very nervous time for all foreigners especially Brits and Americans at present
