Samsung TV with HDMI but no USB port

Is there some sort of connector I can use in the HDMI port to turn it into a USB port, please? I've got a hard drive with loads of movies on but can only watch it via the computer. Would like to be able to watch them via the TV. Any help gratefully received.

No there is no such adapter. If your TV does not have a USB port then you will need to get some sort of 'media player' box that plugs into the tv via hdmi and has itself a USB port. There are any number of such devices but one example would be

Why not just conect your PC to your TV? HDMI out on PC to HDMI in on TV will give you both picture and sound and you can control the whole thing easily. Hav used this system for years now.
