!! GENERATORS STOLEN!!

2 generators have been stolen, at the same time, from unoccupied ex-pat villas in Alagadi.

Anyone else heard? Anything in local press?

Police are on the case, been fingerprinting etc, but am sure they would like to know if anyone has heard of generators being offered etc.

A reminder to always lock up or secure anything easily stolen especially if you are often away!

Remember 8 or so years ago, when we just walked out of the house with windows open (I think we locked the door occasionally) and certainly never shut car windows or locked the car in town. Now the place is like Fort Knox when we go out. Sad sign of the times isn't it?

Before everyone starts to panic about security it is still safer here than UK. Friend of mine had £350 worth of damage to his car for £3 worth of loose change in the UK.
Some are wise and some otherwise.....

in the last 9 years I have always found things go missing over the winter months if not bolted down after what I call the season. Even if its broken, hence now everything goes inside and broken stuff removed to stop encouraging people looking around. Maybe its the attitude they are not here and do not want it.
Amazing after bad rain how many pool pumps get stolen but never heard of one going missing in the summer.
