BT costs
We have been told by our builder that before we can obtain our final approval , we already have shared title deed we must pay a contribution cost towards the telephone cables which they have had to put in due to new government ruling. Has anyone else had this problem ,we feel we are being held to ransom if we don't pay we don't get final approval.

Hi Woody,
Your builder is correct, it is a new government ruling, as our site has just been checked and connected.
Who pays for this is I suppose up to the builder, as it is a new ruling and was not in place when the property
was built. You could argue it is not his fault although I agree it is not your fault either. Could you not come to
some agreement and split the cost?
