The temperatures are due to soar this weekend and we could easily reach 27 degrees on Sunday so PLEASE ensure you bring hats, sun-cream, sun-glasses. Drinks will be available to buy and there will, of course, be water, for the runners. Respect the weather and dress accordingly please. 112 will be in attendance.

Hi, I just have a question regarding the fun run. My son has entered the fun run with his school (GAU), most of the students will be taking part in the 5km run but my son has requested to enter the 8km, is it ok for children to take part in the 8km run? he is 12 years old and has participated in the 5km for the last 3 years. Many thanks.

If you think your son is capable of running the 8k the route this will be fine and please thank him for supporting the fun run for the past three years!.Its great to see youngsters getting involved in charity events.

Looking forward to meeting him on Sunday.
