Re: Selling a car
I think it is quite easy ..
I sold a car for a friend, he was in the UK, but was here for the actual sale ..
First obtain a form from the tax office behind the hospital ..
Both the buyer & seller go to Muhtars office with passports, he will complete & stamp the form ..
Buyer then has 7 days to take the form to the motor licencing office in Lefkosa ..
Oh forgot first get hold of the money ..
This took place in Ozankoy, where I think you live ..

Re: Selling a car
Seller gets the transfer form - I believe car dealers have them.
Seller/Buyer complete form with relevant details.
Sellers Muhtar signs the form - usually needs to see buyers passport/s and seller/s passport, log book etc. We went with seller to do this.
Buyer goes to transfer office behing old Cyprus Turkish Airlines office in Lefkosia to transfer log book...make sure you have passport, copy of sellers passport details, log book, up to date MOT info, tax disc and also make sure no fines outstanding from seller. We also took a electricity bill just in case they wanted something with our name and address on it.
Transfer office was very busy, take ticket and wait your turn...you will need a 2tkl samp and also money to pay for the transfer...think it was around 135tl. Log book fro vehicle was made out in both names.
Not to much hassle and if you have all docs can be done in a morning.
