Garden waste Alsancak

Can anyone tell me whether the dustman will take garden rubbish in Alsancak? We've just been told we can't leave it where we used to but no-one seems to have the foggiest as to what we actually need to do with it.

I have often seen it bagged and put out beside the rubbish bins on the road end of folks houses.
It seem to be taken away and I live in Alsancak.

I live in Alsancak. I leave all of my garden waste in a neat pile outside my house. I tell the Belediyesi office it is there and they come along and collect it. If it isn't very much I put it into a black waste bag and leave it out on dustbin day and the dustmen collect it that way, I have never had any problems.

Thankfully we don't have any problem because of where we live and the ability to dispose of it without any problem, it just turns into compost. However I was always told that garden waste had to be put into green bags and the dustbin men only took black backs i.e. some one else came for the green bags. That system has obviously changed.

We regularly put our garden waste outside our gate in Alsancak, the Belediye send a truck about once a week for garden waste and they collect, I get so annoyed when people dump it, the service cost nothing, so there really is no need for it, if yours is not removed suggest you take your water bill to Belediye as this will give definate address and they will send someone, hope this helps.

Thanks for the replies. We all used to leave it in a big pile at the end of the road and the Belediye used to come and pick it up. There's now a big sign up telling us not to leave it there, as I believe it is where the bridge across the ravine will go.
