If you are looking for second hand, George, I think the Mods would say you should try to the "for Sale" and "Wanted " boards!

However I find the traditional Cyprus "bridal chests" are idea for storing household linen etc. and are an attractive and interesting piece of furniture You could try antique shops and auctions for orignals, but there are several good quality "copies" available. Shop near Catalkoy Lemar (called Ottoman) does them (sturdy wooden with they say "hand carved" decoration) for £250 upwards according to size. There was also a man with a small shop on the same side of the road nearer Girne, who made them and also other items of furniture to order but I havent passed it recently.

Maybe you could check out carpenters nearer your location?

I have seen wicker ones , fabric lined, in China Bazaar, but they dont look very strong or insect/mouse proof to me!
