17th October - A Pink Walk or Two

The Karsiyaka Walkers and Talkers have organised 2 walks in aid of Tulips on the 17th and are encouraging everyone to wear something pink (even if it’s just your socks!) and donate 5TL to Tulips for our Pink Month.

Walk 1: This walk will start at the Muhtar’s Office in Karsiyaka. This monastery walk will take you from the village then up past the monastery and over the lower part of Selvi Tepe, please wear a sturdy pair of walking shoes.

Walk 2: This walk will start at the Wild Duck in Lapta and will take you pass the Olive Press, then down to the coastal path and out towards Sardunya Bay. There is a kiosk on this walk which you may well stop at for refreshments however it is suggested that you take some water with you. If you are not up to hiking up a mountain then this will be the walk for you.

Both walks will be at taken at a leisurely pace and both will start at 9.30am from their respective starting points.

For both walks, please remember it can still be hot at this time of year so please ensure you have water, hat, sun tan lotion and anything else you can think of.
