best wifi router

Need to invest in a new wifi router (ours got dropped and not working properly) can anyone recommend a make / model and cost and where to buy from?

We are currently on extend internet but may look to change in February to another supplier.

We've had internet for 3 years and in this time we have had 3 routers, they've been TP - Link and they don't seem to be lasting more than a year. I'm also keen to hear of a better one!!

Ours that we dropped was TP link, I am currently using my old SKY one from the UK but seem to be having problems getting the ipads to recognise it.
