Motorbike importation

I wish to import a motorbike, am i correct in believing it has too be less than 3 years old or over 25 years old? and in both instances how much importation duty has too be paid?

Hi up to 5years old or registered in your name since new if older .Duty depends on the engine size ,ranges from about 60% on 50-125cc range upto about 90% on bigger bikes but be aware they base their caculations on what it cost to get it here ie if bike was a£1000 then calculation would be made on £1500 allowing £500 for transport to cyprus. best to take copy of log book to customs to get an exact quote.

Thanks for your reply Phil, but would i be allowed to import a classic bike ie over 25years old?
