Ledra Street post office closing

The small post office on the left just over the border in Ledra Street is closing down.
As of the 20th April this post office will be closed.

Do you know if the smaller one i.e. turn left at the Coca Cola T junction is still keeping open?

I have a PO box there. Will I still be able to use it as have paid for this year.

You will have to speak to them with ref to were they will move your PO box too.

is there a PO in the South that you can walk over too, or will it have to be a car drive?

Yes, walk over the crossing and carry on walking straight to the top. At the top turn right and the main post office is just over the road. You will need your passport to rent a po box

We post from this side, much cheaper (actually cheaper than posting within the UK) and letters and cards have always arrived much quicker than from the south.

Brian24001 sadly my experience is not the same as yours.
My grandchildren did not receive their Christmas cards posted in the main post office in Girne, two birthday cards posted at the same time also never arrived and my final attempt three weeks ago was when my granddaughter's birthday card was posted well in advance of her birthday, extra postage was paid for "England quickly" and still it has not arrived.
In future all my post will go from the post office near the coca cola factory in the south.

Trouble is, people see cards going through the postal system somewhere en route, and think there may be money inside.

Same happens in the UK sadly.

all my mail posted from catalkoy PO, whether cards or small parcels, all arrived at their destination, within 14 days. I even posted two bars of cadburys chocolate to a friend in the US and in arrived intact within a month. The only advantage to posting from the South is speed of delivery.

Sorry Butterfly disagree.
Have sent post from Catalkoy post office and it didn't arrive.
Someone suggested I use the Girne main post office and I did. The post didn't arrive.
I have posted from the south several times and it has always arrived in less than a week
Therefore to me the advantage if posting in the south is that mail arrives safely.
