Question re fully comp insurance

If I buy a car that is insured fully comprehensive for say another 10 months but only in the name of the previous owner, can it be transferred over to me and, if so, is it easy to sort out?

Why not ring the insurance company and ask them if you can change it to your name?

Its the car thats insured not the driver so yes it carries on I have done the same thing.

Thanks for the replies. Having checked with the insurance company in this instance it is only the named driver on the policy that is insured.
