We hope you all had a good summer break!

Here are our 'events' for September:

On the 4th of September - Richard - our wonderful quiz master will be holding a music quiz at the Black Olive - the price will be 25tl this includes food, 5tl to Friends of the TRNC Emergency Services (112s) and 5tl in the pot for the winners! So not only will you have a 'Fun Night' you get the chance to win some money as well.

Please book your places with either Jenny on 0533 876 1483 or Vicki 0533 8355133 - the menu will be advised later.

September's Afternoon Tea will be held at the Black Olive at 1500 on the 9th September where our speaker will be Stephen Day who will talk about the Cyprus Problem - price for this is 15tl which includes unlimited tea/coffee, sandwiches and cakes.

We already have a huge interest for this talk so please book your places with either Brenda 0533 8407834 or Jenny 0533 8761483 asap.

The 28th September is our monthly quiz at the Mountain View starting at 1930 - 15tl includes your meal (to be advised) and our fabulous quiz!

30th September we have an evening talk - Mike Earles' talk will be titled A History of Recorded Sound from 1888 - 1980 approximately - Mike's talk will include examples on CDs he will also have with him books, records and catalogues as a static display. This will be held at the Mountain View at 1930 the price of 25tl includes a buffet supper.

Please book places for any of the above events with either Brenda 0533 8407834 or Jenny 0533 8761493.

Some of you may be aware that Vicki and Unal at the Black Olive Cafe are holding 'Open Mike Nights' these are held every Saturday evening in September starting at 1930 and the music will finish at 2300 prompt but the cafe will still be open for anyone who wants to sit around socialising - food is available but please try and book it in advance to avoid disappointment. Vicki and Unal have kindly donated money from the evenings to Friends of theTRNC Emergency Services - by donations, raffles, bingo etc so it is not the same every week.
