Internet with wifi options
Can anyone help me with picking the most cost effective internet with wifi options
I currently use a turkcell plug in dongle which is limited but would prefer wifi as well but wondered if the option would further dilute a very average offer as the speed is slow most of the time
Multimax seem to be expanding rapidly but is expensive for the occasional visitor to the island due to the annual charge. I wish there was flexibility here
Are there any other providers worth a mention?

While using a dongle you can down load ( portable wi fi ) app, this allows your devise to transmit wifi to all paired devises. I use this in Turkey on my tablet to allow me to get the internet on my laptop.

Multimax do provide a package for swallows as has been said. You pay an annual fee for the equipment, then a daily fee for the time you are out on island.
It probably all depends how long you spend out in Cyprus and of course your usage. If its only a couple of weeks at a time and only for bit of surfing, emails etc then probably a dongle is ok, or stroll to a cafe or bar with internet and wifi.
However for longer periods and also watching tv, downloading etc then yes I would agree some sort of package would be the better option.
We are with Multimax and are out for about 6 mtgs each year so there "swallows" package as some call it works for us. Have not found anything better plus also the service has been very good.

Thanks for your replies. Multimax as I thought is the best option but the freedom package benefits swallows who spend a fair amount of time on the island not occasional visitors due to the annual standing charge.

Re: Internet with wifi options
We bought a mifi from the Turckcell shop in town. Once you have the box, which comes with 6gb sim and lasts a month, you just top up each time you come. Make sure they give you a phone number for the sim and you can top up data when needed. I think 10gb costs 75 ytl, can't remember quite, but it was only 10 ytl more than the 6gb sim. It lasts for one month, unless you use all the data and the sim is valid for 10 months.
We happily run 2 iPads & 2 phones, but I think it says you can have quite a few devices running from it.
