Is it easy to get a Police Report here?

I have lived here a number of years and require such a report (on my conduct etc) for a company (new job) in another country.

Can I just walk into the Police Station and request one?

Girne and lefkosia police stations have a department. Last august in girne you went into the main entrance and filled in the form and then took it around to the in and out guys.
It now takes about a week and last august due to the beyaz kimlik there were only certain days and times you could collect the report but you are informed when you submit the application.
2 Photos are required, unfortunately I can't remember what else they actually required.

We did this in Girne 4 years ago. The process then was similar to that described above. We needed passports, photocopies of photo and immigration visa stamp pages of the passport, 7 TL Government stamps and a fee of ?40+ TL. No doubt the costs have increased. We dealt with a very helpful, chatty and amusing Inspector who assisted us with the form completion, even our advocate was impressed by him.

Did it this morning, perhaps amazingly something getting easier!!
You need 2x passport photos (half body not just face), 28tl of stamps (33tl in cafe next to Police Station in Girne) and a copy of your passport (1tl in same cafe) + have passport on you.
Take this to the office direct left as you enter front of Police Station, a police officer will then help you fill out the form (fairly stress free) need date you first entered N.Cyprus and your address etc.
I was told to pick up report in 2 days from Police Station in a different office!
