Hi Folks,
While splitting logs for next winter, my log splitter stopped working, in the open position.
Anyone out there with Hydraulics experience?
Or know somewhere that might be able to repair/supply parts ie o-rings?
Last log I tried to split was bigger than the rest, it wouldn't split.
Bought the splitter last summer, was pre filled with oil when I bought it.
I have used it a few times previously, without any problems.
The power is on, motor appears to be OK, but no reaction.

Not having experience on these things but I would think it is a very basic problem. These are just a hydraulic car type jack.
Your problem could be a seized cylinder or a faulty valve . Pumping the unit causes oil to push out the piston, the release valve causes the oil to flow back to the oil tank. I would suspect a seized cylinder, but a strip down should reveal the probe. Ho pe this helps!
