Non Alcoholic Beer & Wine
Have looked but can not find! Anyone know where I can buy either of these strange things please? Happily neither of them are for me but I do have strange visitors from time to time - lol.

I should also like to find a source of these- for myself! Last year Şah had a non alcoholic sparkling wine made from apples that was very acceptable but I have not seen it recently. Currently they do a low alcohol shandy - a find it a little too sweet and fizzy for my taste but could be considered. I also find ginger beer quite a good drink if I want something non alcoholic with more oomph than water or fruit juice
If it is for drinking at home I suggest you look round Şah as they do at least have a wider selection of interesting soft drinks than most.
For drinking outside I have no suggestions,, except if low rather than nonalcohol is acceptable I suggest you guests order soda water or lemonade and pinch a soupçon of beer or wine from other drinkers! The Happy Gardens shop in Ozankoy advertises a non alcohol cocktail (probably fruit juice) I havent tried the drink myself yet, but as a venue it is pleasant (apart fromthe road works andparking) and the new management anxious to please and should be encouraged.
As a non alcohlic refreshing hot weather fruit cup to serve at home (I offer it to drivers as well as non drinkers) I recommend half andhalf fresh orange and apple juice decorated with mint and lemon slices. Add soda water to taste. For the non non drinkers you can also add Gin or Vodka to taste so everyone appears to be drinking the same! With loads of ice of course

We have bought non alcoholic beer from Illeli in the past by Becks (Becks blue I think).
But last time I looked, they didn't have any. We got some in the South from Alpha Mega

Re: Non Alcoholic Beer & Wine
Best of luck getting it right for everyone. My big brother (age and definitely size also) told everyone that he was on the wagon and had not drunk alcoholic beer for months on end. I had a night at the pub with him (lack of good judgment on my part) and at first he was drinking non alcoholic beer. However by the second drink and many more thereafter he was instructing the bar man "Liven this up by adding a couple of shots of brandy it is as flat as a pancake". Within a week or two he was of course back on the alcoholic pints. For years afterwards I used to address letters to him as "Denzil, Methane, Gutbucket" but his wife told me he would happily collect the letters from the post man with a big grin on his face.

Alfa Mega has a range - or two - of non alcoholic beers and a couple of "Tescos" alcohol free wines. Went there today - the things I do for people is astounding at times - a bought a single bottle of each make so that a taste testing could take place and then directions to where to buy it for themselves given out! 1 Russian brand, 1 German brand, 1 brand from Denmark (probably not the finest non alcoholic beer in the world) and 1 brand from a country that I could not identify because I could not read the label - lol, I think it is Polish. Great care was taken to ensure that each beer contained 0.0% alcohol as many others were available that contained 0.5% and still badged as non alcoholic! The wine was a near success, badged as alcohol free but still containing 0.5%!
On the bright side I also found three different types of Hertog Jan Donker Bier - Dubbel @ 7.3%, Tripel @ 8.5% and finally Grand Prestige @ 10%, I will personally sample all three whilst my guests are quaffing their coloured water flavored with all types of minerals and preservatives, hopefully enjoying themselves as much as me - lol. I don't drink much at all but I can not see the point in drinking water that is called beer when I can drink the real thing.
