What about solar lights we have a string of them round the pagola here in UK even though we are not getting much sun they are still as bright as ever, we paid £9 for them at Maplin really good value. Hubby will look at B & Q for adaptor if therre is one we could always bring you one on 21st Nov if you want

I saw christmas lights at Ercan 1001, not sure if they are indoor or outdoor, they also have a varied selection of christmas decs, all year thru !!!!
Oh and China Bazaar will be starting their selection soon for sure.

If you have any trees/bushes at the front of your house...hang some coloured baubles or any other Christmas decorations from them.

Mr Pound sell some pretty ones...I think a box of 6 for 4TL.

This is the first year in 32 years that I will not be seeing either of my daughter's, so going to feel a bit strange with just hubby and I.

I love christmas and really go to town on the decorations and will still do so this year as the locals brings their children round to see them.

Have you got lights with bayonet fitting? there is a screw in fitting which adapts to bayonet fitting, is this what you want?

Thanks woodspeckie you are very kind, I did think of that Keith but the plugs are very small sealed things and you know how temperamental christmas lights are!

My poor dear departed husband always ended up throwing them across the room at christmas after carefully putting them away. He was the manager of a very posh lighting showroom selling crystal chandeliers worth thousands of pounds and when the boss suggested selling christmas lights he threatened to leave.
