Charity Contact Numbers

It occurred to me that two of the rather tragic post below could be referred to one or other of the local UK run Charities, and looked for their contact details. All that appears under Charities and Societies are apppeal for money!

I tried Directory , but could not find my way around- Ok I am stupid but so are others particularly in an emergency.

Would it not be a good idea to have a list of contacts for people who have , particularly , health problems. NOT just for the disabled this time , but for anyone who is taken ill , particularly hospitalised, and on their own or coping single handed with a partner/friend in trouble.

On the subject, is any expat organisation providing paid or voluntary services still operating?
