Hi all,
We have just moved into an apartment and unfortunately have a big problem with pigeons on the terraces and roof. Can anyone suggest a way of keeping them away, please? For example can I get a type of bird scarer ... I would appreciate any ideas.

I am sure you will receive lots of advice. For us we have run the little metal spikes along the edge of the roof which stops them landing and depositing on our balcony and rear patio. Is permanent and works.

Others have tried the bird scorer on a pole......not sure if it works but when the winds get going the scarer can also disappear. Some suggest a high quality sticky glue like substance - we did research this but in the sun out here think it would soon loose its effectiveness.

So it’s the spikes for us.

On the site that I live on Emtan 3, Buffavento you can see which houses have pigeons on the roof , those with scarers on a pole do not.

If you can get a large owl figure , put it on the terrace that will work.
