Third Party Car Insurance Level of Cover - Protecting You

Please note that the level of cover offered via Third Party (Trafik) Insurance has just been updated to 112,500 TL as opposed to the previous 75,000 TL for standard Third Party Policy cover.

This will be of great assistance and is in part due to the fact that the TL rate to GBP has continually increased over the past year making the value of the cover low in comparison to what some people may have paid for a car.

e.g. 75,000 TL based at todays rate would be less than 12,000 GBP whereas 112,500 TL is approximately 17,900 GBP.

If you look at the luxury cars on the roads of North Cyprus these days you will understand that some are very expensive and cost way more than this amount.

In a 3rd party situation when you are responsible for the accident and the other car has severe damage or is even written off then the Insurance will only cover up to this maximum amount on a standard policy. You would be responsible for anything over and above this maximum amount.

Here at Azant Insurance Agency, we do allow you to increase the level of cover which is priced on top of your standard policy price.

For 200,000 TL of Cover the price would be an extra 150 TL
For 300,000 TL of Cover the price would be an extra 250 TL

Fortunately many accidents result in small claims rather than big claims that leave people out of pocket but this is something that is worth thinking about.
