Football games in Lefcosia Stadium?

I notice in the evenings often the lights on in the stadium off Dr. Fazil Blvd. I assume there are games there and would like to attend one of them - I've never been to a live football game (soccer) as I'm from the states and hate the American NFL football - we don't see much soccer over there unfortunately.

SO my question is: Is there a schedule posted somewhere, and do they charge admission or membership to enter the stadium? I'm within walking distance and really think I would enjoy watching the sport.

The Atatürk Stadıum ıs the National Stadium of the TRNC. They have soccer matches their sometimes on a Friday night, Saturday, Sunday afternoons and Monday nights.
The only match being played next weekend is on Sunday 3oth Sept, kick off 4-30pm between the current Super League Champions Yenicami, and neighbours Gönyeli who have been recently promoted to the Super League. It will be a "derby" match and should be a cracking game.
The following weekend the matches are : Saturday 6th Oct -ko 4-00pm Çetinkaya v Cihangir and on the Sunday 7th Gönyeli v Doğan Türk Birliği both are Super League matches .
Admission is probably around 20-30tl it is a huge Stadium so no problem finding a seat. There is a refreshment bar and plenty of toilets.
I think you will enjoy the atmosphere the locals are very passionate about their football and they will make you very welcome
I have been going to local football for at least 10 years and have made many local friends.

I attend matches in Girne being Doğan Türk Birliği fan. It is free for women so expect it’s the same in Lefkoşa. Really enjoy the atmosphere there. Last season my husband paid 20tl but this season it’s 30tl.
