Christmas Bonus

Every year the government gives us old age pensioners the magnificent sum of £10.00 as a Christmas Bonus. This year I waited with baited breath as normal to see this payment arrive in my account - nothing!!!!

Have they stopped paying it to cover the ongoing costs of Brexit or have I missed a startling bit of news that it has now been canceled instead?

It's because you misquoted 'The Bard of Avon' thus null'n'voiding your British nationality.... ha ha ha.

Nope. Got ours on 3rd December.

The Irish Christmas bonus is one full week’s pension per person. I won’t tell you how much that is

I understand it can not be taken away as it is a pension entitlement whereas the fuel allowance is not and can be canceled at any time.

Hi Cally, probably because I voted to remain then - lol. Sure it will sort itself out but will leave it till next year, HMRC have enough problems without me badgering them over a tenner. Happy New year to all.
