Seems a stupid question at this time of year and the current temperature, but we will be moving to an apartment and are used to gas central heating. Suggestions for the best way of economically heating the apartment? Air cons are the older type.

Replace air con units with inverter units. They will be the cheapest to run, ensuring that damp is kept out and are fume free. Do not use gas fires or oil fires.

Oil filled electric radiators are good, as you are just renting.

Trouble is the apartment is just being rented, so wanted suggestions for heating, economically at a rented apartment. We have just sold our villa which has inverters which are brilliant, but do not think landlord would pay for inverters. So does anyone use oil filled electric radiators and are they economical? Suggestions appreciated
