What happens if you don’t pay your property tax in April. We are overseas so couldn’t pay when it was due.

A fine would be the maximum worry. Some of my customers have not paid due to the fact they have not got a kocan . The fine is heavy 50% but usually not applied until the year is over.

We were a couple.of months late one year and paid an extra 5tl, of course it may be more now, but even 50% is only going to be about 125tl and I am quite happy to pay that if it helps the local.economy.

Shouldn't worry too much. Fines as usually minimal, there's enough to concern us isn't there? Bit different to UK house rates!!!
