Re: interesting read
Yes interesting, no mention of the genoside of the Turkish Cypriots during the Makarios era, with his allies Sampson and Grivas.
I would suggest the book 'Genoside Files' is a factual account written by a British journalist, Harry Scott Gibbons living in Girne working for the Daily Mail, during the troubles as a balance to other pro Greek opinion.
Just my views.

Having read that book I can say it is well worth a read and paints a very poor picture of the Greeks which many a British Politician ought to put on their reading list.

The way I have always understood the situation is that Makarios was pro Enosis, until last minute he realised he was going to lose power.

Probably up to the point where he realised his own side were coming for him and he escaped!
