Reports of a big fire in Lapta, pictures on Facebook look serious with homes threatened

Yes, it was the field adjacent to the Lapta Cemetery. Fortunately the firemen managed to stop it when it reached the cemetery and it only destroyed some saplings that had been donated and a bench, likewise. There is a wide firebreak but flames were able to jump that. Could have been a whole lot worse and firemen were wonderful I gather.
