Olive' from On the Buses dies in a house fire: Star of 70s comedy and EastEnders Anna Karen, 85, is killed in horror blaze in Ilford
Firefighters were called to the east London home just after 10.30pm last night
Crews brought the blaze under control in an hour but actress pronounced dead

Another National Treasure lost, so sad, and to think how she went was horrifying. She was the last surviving cast member from On The Buses. I just about remember her in The Rag Trade but only as that, unlike On The Buses, has never been repeated. At least wanderer you've given her more coverage above than the BBC offered. Unless i missed it, all they gave on the news this morning was a strapline at the bottom of the screen.

Just shows how much I know, it wasn't until The Mail showed a picture of her in Eastenders that I could only remember her in On The Buses, and The Rag Trade "Every body OUT!!!" My favourite Miriam Karlin. or Carlin?
