Did you use the passport number from when you purchased the car and have you put a p in front of it?

After trying first registration date, date of change of ownership. Passport with a P and without I email them stating what I have tried and normally within 24 hours I get an answer. As I tax customers boss's fleet plus our own I think it's a wonderful service
I always reset the letters you have to put in on each change too

Hi, tried to pay car tax on line. Got to the payment stage, clicked on make payment - came up with the error message! any ideas please? I did every thing correctly, same as last year.
