Need to send £7000 to the UK, the money is in a sterling account in a TRNC bank here.

Any suggestion on the best way to send it, I'm sure my Bank here will make it so difficult and expensive.

You could do a swap with a trusted friend. I recently "swapped" a sum which cost me 99 kurus in charges compared to several hundred pounds demanded for a bank transfer to the UK. It was quick too, completed in about 10 minutes.

Was quoted £30, but when the transaction went through it was £36. Not worth arguing about.
