There was a general outage on Saturday and Sunday, our water cane back on yesterday morning in Esentepe. If you say which area you are in there may be information available.

Thought it was just normal service for us in Catalkoy anyway, so used to the water being switched off for between 3 and 10 days because they forget to switch it back on again, just drop back on the well as we have done for the past 14 years!! Today we have mains water - so far.......
No matter how hard the past, you can always begin again.

No mains water for 9 days in bacheli. Been 3 times to bele, promised next day.ha ha . Been told the Maldives have priority. Yet they have the irrigation on every day and night. We have now turned the pool off, as balance tank empty. Collecting buckets of water from the sea. This is why we are selling.

I went to bele this morning, and spoke to the mayor. Was told no water from turkey, but will get some tomorrow, but only for 3 days. What will happen when the summer starts?

Now told Saturday by the mayor, as problems with pipework. That will be 2 weeks without water. I refuse to get tanker water, as too expensive.

As I understand it ...(cop out! :) ) - the Belediye are legally obliged to ensure that you have a supply of water - In Alsancak when there was no mains water supply due to some technical issue or other, we went and collared the Mayor & demanded that he get us some water - that afternoon a Belediye tanker arrived, filled up my tanks (& filled up my neighbour's tanks when I asked the driver nicely :) ) - don't just take 'No' for an answer!

p.s. - we never got charged for it either!

Water tankers have to go past our property in order to get to one of the Alsancak depots. Most days see one and occasionally two but thats all. Seems Alsancak hasn't been hit yet.
