Yes how big was the truck load. That is important as many of the log people now have various size trucks.

I still use Naterjack and his truck is double the size of most others. Logs are various type. Price do not know this year as I do not need any Just give him a ring.

Why buy Olive at stupidly inflated prices? I Buy loads of Citrus and various other woods at 4000tl a load. Buy 5 loads lasts us all winter.

We use Sergen Cypriot every year, cuts them to the size we want. Can't really tell you how big a truck load is, only that it's enough for us. We've a lot of logs.

Haircut, it is dependent on how you burn your wood to keep you warm. Do you have a log burner/open fire/outside boiler for your central heating - just for a start. Whichever you have you will need a chimney to take away the smoke from your fire, how often do you have it cleaned as hard woods - like olive/carob/eucalyptus burn cleaner and don't produce so much tar as citrus/fir and other soft woods. Just some "small" things to think about before you look at prices of woods and are they "green" woods - cut this year so full of water - or dry woods that have rested for a year or two and produce more heat per kilo than green ever will. It's also an experience thing where you find out if you want to be warm all winter or just have your jumper on most of the time and only light your fire when you start to shiver! Then you start to balance the cost of gas central heating against aircon heating and oil and wood fired - it is a great place to learn here!!

Electric blankets and long Johns are a blessing. So are the battery operated padded jackets worn by hunters and shooters. Wonderful, invention.

Well, if you want to be silly, issued arctic sleeping bags and mats took a lot of beating, 12 guys sat round a paraffin heater - top removed with a cross of copper wire added - waiting for the toast to be ready, heating up your pies wrapped in tinfoil tied to the exhaust manifold whilst en route or tied to the top of a Tilly lamp took some beating! A single paraffin heater in the tent with one guy awake on smell watch kept everyone warm! Charcoal powered hand warmers stuffed in your gloves worked too. Electric blankets? OK if you have electric but battery powered gadgets never a favorite, batteries don’t like the cold and are costly to replace! Long John’s - the best for light weight were ladies tights - lol, the best for heat were wool but don’t get them damp! Memories, memories!

Just had flatbed load of mixed logs delivered from Sergan on 0533 884 76 65.

All cut to size I asked for, small woodburner. Delivery guy Sari even stacked them neatly for me unasked!
10,000 tl for muxed. 14,500 for carob and olive.
I can highly recommmend them.
