This is the first time that we have had to pay Road Tax here in TRNC can anyone advise where the offices in Girne are please and what other documents do we need to take with us - along with TL of course!!

From the Pia Bella roundabout heading towards town turn right opposite to Mollys' Place .. Down to the bottom & turn left .. Turn left 2 or 3 roads .. You will see a large building on the right hand side of the road .. Through the front door & the tax office is slightly to the left .. Desk is on the left ..
You will need all your documents .. Log book, insurance, current MOT & emission test paper .. Maybe 300TL for a smallish car or a bucket full if it is a large 4x4 ..

The amount you pay in Car Tax is calculated by the size and weight of your vehicle for example we drive a Hyundai Tucson and the license currently is 999TL for one year. Plus of course the cost of the emissions test and the MOT both of which must be up to date. Suggest you look on the BRS website for full details of requirement.
