Driving NC car to UK. Insurance question.

We are hoping to visit the UK and would like to travel in the car which is on NC plates.
Can anyone let me know where I can buy the insurance for the journey, I suppose I am asking for a policy for EU countries including the UK. I know I will get the Turkish insurance önce arriving in Turkey. Could I buy insurance in the South to cover EU and UK? Or has anyone bought this cover here in the North or can let me know how this could be done.
