The two things you mention are quite different. There are a few alternatives. Have seen bitumastic paint and there is also a waterbased product Ceresit. I suggest you go and talk to Tayf AKA Marshals in Karaoglaoglu they have good technical knowledge on this sort of thing and specific applications.
