Are there any jobs out there?????
English 32yr old female looking for a job.
I have been in catering since I left school and have experience in all aspects of the industry. I am a fully qualified chef and have also worked as a waitress, supervisor and in customer services liason.
Although catering is the most obvious line of work, because of my extensive experience, I believe I could also fulfill roles in most other customer service orientated positions.
I have a current work permit and medical card.
Please give me a call on 0533 8458277.
Thank You
Chris

Good luck on the job front. Think you have the skills and also paperwork to pick something up. From here in the UK whilst I have not really investigated it seems there is a small minefield of rules/regulations to comply with before getting a job in the TRNC.
Off thread I know but just been told my job here in the UK is redundant at end July - wonder what I can do with myself now!

Go for it PoshinDevon, but I know how it is awful to have nothing to do. And to Chris, I appreciate how difficult the job scene is at the moment. good luck. If I hear of anything I will let you know, but.... I really hear of little, .

Nothing to do...hmmm....I can easily fill my day with little jobs...or rather my day will be filled with little jobs that my lovely wife Sarah has found for me!
Decorating a bedroom has already been programmed in!
I do rather think we will be spending more time in N Cyprus tho, which suitts us just fine.

I did say at end of my first post that I was going off topic- suppose it shows we are all sometimes able to make mistakes!
So to get back on topic can anyone help the original poster in her quest to get a job?

It's probably not an option and it will be seasonable, but there was a guy here looking for somebody, if you are interested in 4 month or so, I can find out.
Good luck with the jobhunt also for you Poshindevon

Another example of the Philoz childish mentality on Kibkom.
1. No answer to the poster's original request!
2. A condescending or sarcastic remark!
3. Then the pathetic 'justification' remark!
Maybe for many on the forum it would be good for you to consider stopping 1 & 2, then 3 won't be necessary.

Twist clothes store and Manipeni restaurant both have signs up asking for workers - you might need to speak Turkish though. If you do, perhaps go along to them and ask. In fact many stores and restaurants tend to advertise in their own windows for staff so it's probably worth going for a drive or walk about town to see and make enquiries in person.

You beat me to it Smiler. I was just going to say that I saw a sign in Mani penni. did not really read it, but it might be something suitable albeit temporary. I am sure Chris could master the appropriate few words in Turkish.
sorry I have not seen any other notices, but if I do I will certainly let you know .(Chris!)
